Learning Pods, accepting families now.
Small, live, teacher-led Charlotte Mason learning pods for Kindergarten to Grade 6 - live lessons that support a parent’s home education program, begun at our own kitchen table and rebuilt for families across Canada.
Small, live, and led by teachers.
Virtue is not a school. The pods are live lessons that support a parent’s home education program. You remain your child’s home educator, and every family meets Kinda and Dwayne before joining.
Small on purpose
A handful of children in each pod, so every child is known and every voice is heard.
Certified teachers
Led by certified teachers, not a rotating roster of tutors.
Kindergarten to Grade 6
Grouped with care, with living books, narration, nature study and the arts at the centre.
Your program, supported
You remain your child’s home educator. The pods are live lessons that support the program you have chosen.
Clear, monthly, and published.
Our first year runs from January to June 2027. Our next year runs from September 2027 to June 2028. There are no pods over the summer. Over the summers we hope to build and run enrichment programs, camps and more.
Founding family rate
Registered and started live pod lessons by 30 June 2027Always below our standard fee, for as long as the child is in our pods.
Standard pod fee
Grades 1 to 6For children who start live pod lessons after 30 June 2027, including a child who registers earlier but first starts in September 2027.
Kindergarten
Founding and sibling rates do not applyStart in Kindergarten by 30 June 2027 and the founding rate applies from Grade 1 on.
Sibling rate
Grades 1 to 675% of the standard fee, for every child in Grades 1 to 6 after the one who pays the full fee.
How a family’s month works
- Kindergarten is always $330 a month. Neither the founding rate nor the sibling rate applies to Kindergarten.
- One child in Grades 1 to 6 pays the full fee - the founding rate if that child registered and started live pod lessons by 30 June 2027, or the standard fee if not. If a family has a founding child, that child is the one who pays the full fee.
- Every other child in Grades 1 to 6 pays the sibling rate, 75% of the standard fee. A child who also registered and started by 30 June 2027 pays whichever is lower, the founding rate or the sibling rate. Today, that is the sibling rate.
- Registration is $150 per family, however many children.
Examples at today’s prices
- Two children in Grades 2 and 4, both started in March 2027: $475 + $412.50 = $887.50 a month.
- One child who started in March 2027, and a brother who starts in Grade 1 in September 2027: $475 + $412.50 = $887.50 a month.
- Three children in Grades 1 to 6, starting in September 2027: $550 + $412.50 + $412.50 = $1,375 a month.
- One child in Grade 3 and one in Kindergarten, starting in September 2027: $550 + $330 = $880 a month.
Plus registration, $150 once per family.
How many children, and when do they join?
The sibling rate is worked out for you.
A note on our prices: Homeschooling families plan their year with care, and we want to be a steady part of that plan. Our prices may change from time to time, but never without notice: we will always tell families well ahead of any change, so there is time to plan. Founding families keep their advantage: their rate will always stay below our standard fee for as long as their child is in our pods.
The Learning Pods begin in January 2027.
Small, live, teacher-led Charlotte Mason learning for homeschooling families. It is the work we began at our own kitchen table, rebuilt carefully for families across Canada.
Our first year runs from January to June 2027. Families who register now, ahead of January, are founding families once their child starts by 30 June 2027.
Founding families keep their advantage.
Children are born persons.
Charlotte Mason was an English educator who believed children deserve real ideas, not diluted ones. Her method puts living books in place of dry textbooks, asks children to narrate what they have learned in their own words, and gives them daily time with nature, art, poetry and music.
It is gentle, but it is not soft. Short lessons, full attention, and habits built one at a time. It is how we teach our own children, and it runs through everything here.
Education is an atmosphere, a discipline, a life.Charlotte Mason
Any child in Grades 1 to 6 who has registered and started live pod lessons by 30 June 2027 pays the founding family rate - including families who register now, ahead of January, once their child starts. It will always stay below our standard fee for as long as the child is in our pods.
We will never share your details. Every family meets us before they join.
